This shows the process of creating a dining table using some interesting materials and a lot of blood, sweat and tears. The table frame is constructed from simple lumber purchased at the local home and garden store, but the magic lies in the detail. The entire surface of this 8 by 4 foot monstrosity is made from hand cut reclaimed tree branches. Constructing the table’s body was the easy part, but salvaging and trimming all the branches used to make the surface was weeks of lunch hour cutting sessions. In the end I was quite pleased with the result only to be broken hearted by the hatching of unsuspected termite friends.
